Helix Survivae

Name is inspired by the nomenclature of a lot of common snails.

This is my entry for the Lazy-Devs 24h game jam that has been hosted on April 10 2021.

As the competition required, it's a console-based game.

Controls:

[Arrows] -> movement
[W] -> Place walls (walls are indestructible, but you cannot walk through them)
[D] -> Place doors (doors have a 33% of getting destroyed on impact, but you can walk through them while enemies cannot)
[X] -> Place a trap (traps damage anything that walk into them, including you. When an enemy makes contact with one, there's a 50% chance it will destroy the trap)
[Space] -> Break things around you, useful when in an awkward situation

note: for some reasons Windows Defender is causing a lot of issues with the game and its performances, I'm not sure why, sorry about that.

Install instructions

Should be able to download and execute the .exe directly.

Don't make the game window too small as it might make the game crash.
